As God’s people we don’t exist for ourselves but are part of the Grand Story of Redemption that God has been telling since the beginning of creation. Our lives find purpose when we devote ourselves to God’s purpose.

We are about Jesus.
WE LIVE FOR HIS GLORY, NOT OURS.
In our mission statement we say ‘for the glory of Christ’ because the Triune God has displayed his glory in Christ, revealed himself through Christ, points us to Christ, reconciles us through Christ, and shapes us into the image of Christ. Our mission is to hold fast to the supremacy of Christ in all things and the particular ways that God has revealed himself through Christ as the means of salvation for every tribe, tongue, and nation. The mission of God is the exaltation of Christ and our mission is the same.
WE COMMIT TO HIS MISSION.
If we are to live for the glory of Christ then we must take his mission seriously. If Christ is the full expression of God’s love for the world, then we cannot profess to love Christ and exclude the world. Following Jesus is inherently others-oriented and calls us to live for something greater than ourselves. We will be a church that points the world to Christ, so that the world may have life through him. We are a missionary people because we serve a Missionary God.

Core Values
1. Spiritual Formation
WE COMMIT TO BECOMING MORE LIKE JESUS.
Jesus calls us to pick up our cross daily and follow after him (Luke 9:23). His call requires a daily commitment to pattern our lives after Jesus and live in submission to his kingship in every area of life. We believe discipleship is more than just learning what Jesus taught, but living by his word, following his example, and doing what he commands. That belief is rooted in the knowledge that Jesus brings new life and transformation, where we are shaped more into his image and grow in deeper communion with him (Rom 8:29).
2. Community
WE WALK WITH JESUS TOGETHER.
When Christ saves us we are unified with him, which means we are unified together as members of one another (Rom 12:5). We aren’t simply saved as individuals, we are saved into his Church that the Bible says is his body, his family, his priesthood, and members of his kingdom. To reject the necessity of community is to misunderstand the work of Christ and what he accomplished. In order to follow Jesus faithfully, we must do so in community where other believers are deeply woven into the fabric and experience of our faith.
3. Family
WE CENTER OUR HOMES ON JESUS.
God expresses his love for his people through the gift of family. We see God create a family at the very beginning when he wed Adam and Eve (Gen 2:24). After the fall, God promised to use a family to bring about his redemptive purposes that would ultimately create a new family born of the Spirit (John 3:6). Family is also a reflection of the community and identity of the Godhead, who is a loving Father and a beloved Son. The Story of the Bible is a family story, and family is the primary means of learning the Story of the Bible.
4. Missions
WE SHARE IN GOD’S HEART FOR THE WORLD.
The Great Commission is an invitation to share in God’s heart for the world. From the very beginning God’s redemptive purposes were global and cosmic. God promised Abraham that through him he would bless all the peoples of the earth (Gen 12:3). In Isaiah, God called Israel to be a Light to the Nations that he might reconcile the world to himself (Isa 42:6, 49:6; Acts 13:47). Missions reminds us that we don’t exist for ourselves, nor are we called to turn away from the world, but to go the world for the life of the world with the gospel Jesus Christ.
5. Hospitality
WE WELCOME OTHERS AS GOD HAS WELCOMED US.
God is hospitable beyond measure. We were once strangers and enemies of God sojourning in this world, but the hospitality of God in Christ opened the way of salvation as he welcomed us into fellowship with him. Jesus gave his life that we might be received into his kingdom. Jesus found us as orphans and adopted us into the family of God. Jesus invites us to his Table and feeds us in the Lord’s Supper. We would reflect this hospitality towards us, as Paul says, “Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you” (Rom 15:7).
6. Restoration & Renewal
WE SEEK LOST SHEEP AND WELCOME THEM HOME.
Jesus’s earthly ministry is filled with miraculous displays of healing power. He healed the blind, lame, sick, deaf, and crippled, and even raised the dead. Jesus’s healing ministry, while miraculous, is connected to the purpose of the Church, because through it we see the restorative and renewing work of God. When Jesus healed bodies he was restoring them to full participation in the life of God’s people as worshipers, contributors, and members of the community.
Our Beliefs
What we believe about the Scriptures shapes everything we do as a church. God has spoken and we must listen. His Word is the only rule of faith and practice.
